Sunburn

  by Dr. Yiannis Neofytou

Sunburn
Did you forget to put on sunscreen, did you fall asleep on the beach or did you play rackets for longer than you should without renewing your sunscreen?
Whatever happened, you probably ended up with a sunburn and of course the pain and itching that characterize it.
1. Moisturize internally
Initially, you need adequate hydration, preferably in the form of water or fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. Soothe the skin with a compress
A cold milk compress is the ideal solution to cool the skin, as milk proteins soothe inflammation.
3. Moisturize externally
Avoid Vaseline, benzocaine and lidocaine, as they moisturize the skin but at the same time “lock” the heat under its surface, something you want to avoid in case of burns. Prefer aloe, as it is a natural product suitable for treating any skin problem and deeply moisturizes.
If the sunburn is extensive and accompanied by blisters, it is advisable to visit a dermatologist.

MESOPEN

Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
