Περιστοματική δερματίτιδα

  by Dr. Yiannis Neofytou

Peripheral dermatitis is a chronic eczematous skin condition that is usually located around the mouth.

Although it is not a variety of rosacea, it belongs to the same group of skin diseases, due to the similarities of their clinical features.

Oral dermatitis is of unknown etiology and most often affects adolescents and young women, while it rarely affects children.

Symptoms

The disease starts in the nasopharyngeal lines and quickly spreads to the peritoneal area. It is often accompanied by diffuse erythema with exfoliation. There may be a burning sensation or itching. It can sometimes extend to the forehead, eyelids or around the eyes.

Treatment

Because it is a complex disease it needs to be treated, both locally and orally.

MESOPEN

Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
