What is melasma?2018-12-28T12:49:40+02:00

Melasma or blotches is the name of hyperpigmentations on the skin, mainly occurring on the face, the neck and the hands.

It is an acquired skin disease characterized by symmetric patches of hyperpigmentation on the face.

How do PDO threads act on melasma?2018-12-28T12:48:49+02:00

20-30 minutes before the treatment a numbing cream is applied.

Then a mild disinfection of the skin is performed and the dermatologist inserts the threads in the appropriate area where the melasma is, with small needles.

The depth of the application can be in the dermis, the subcutaneous fat or the underlying muscles.

The duration depends on the number of the threads used and is calculated at 10-30 minutes.

Is it a safe method?2018-12-28T12:40:53+02:00

Yes it is safe with excellent results. The threads are made of PDO (Polydioxanone). It is a material, which was used in surgeries for many years for suturing wounds.

MESOPEN

Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
