Nail surgery
Nails are part of the skin and are made of keratin, the same protein as hair.
The most common microinterventions in the nail area concern the treatment of ingrown toenail, when the nail for various reasons grows into the skin causing intense inflammation.
At first the problem is not treated surgically but if it persists the only realistic solution is the surgical removal of the part of the nail that causes the problem.
If there is an ingrown toenail we remove a small part of the nail and settle the problem permanently.
Except from this microintervention in our clinic we do biopsies and removal of tumors which lie underneath the nail.
Microinterventions in the nail require proper local anesthesia or they can be painful.
In these cases we always perform toe anesthesia where the whole toe becomes numb and we perform the procedure without any pain.
MESOPEN
Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
