Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis is a pathological condition characterized by excessive secretion of sweat by the sweat glands, above the normal amount required for the thermoregulation of the body.
It affects both sexes equally and usually after the second decade.
The safest and most efficient medical solution for the treatment of hyperhidrosis is the infusion of botulinum toxin Α (Βotox/Disport) in the problem area.
The application is done with a very thin needle which for a few minutes injects botulinum toxin in the problem areas.
In sensitive areas local anesthesia can be applied and the inhalation of nitrous oxide for analgesia.
The treatment is not permanent. A repetition of the treatment is needed every 6 -10 months for better results.
The treatment is safe because the scope of the medication is to prevent the secretion of excessive sweat without affecting the normal production of it.
MESOPEN
Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
