Planus Lichen

by Dr. Yiannis Neofytou

What is plants lichen?

Lichen planus is one of the most common dermatological diseases, affecting the skin, nails, hair, mucous membranes, and even the eyes.

It is an acute or chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects the skin and mucous membranes. Characteristic of the disease are the gray or whitish lines in the form of a network on the surface of the bumps – Wickham network. The itching is usually intense and proportional to the extent of the disease. The treatment of lichen planus is the application of topical or infusion of corticosteroids for skin and mucosal lesions. Phototherapy is also an alternative treatment in cases that resist the above approaches.

MESOPEN

Mesopen is an alternative form of mesotherapy. It helps the penetration of active substances, creating portals of entry into the skin barrier with the creation of controlled micronulls, thanks to its specially designed head (pen with 12 tiny titanium pins), without obvious skin injury. Through this mechanism of action, the penetration capacity of the active substances increases.
