Paratrim in infants
Paratrim is the most common problem in infants. The rash is a result of your baby’s skin being irritated by his own urine. How does it present itself?
The skin in the genital area reddens. If it is not treated in time then very soon the area will be infected with fungi, due to the ideal conditions that prevail in the area (humidity and heat).
1. Leave the baby without a diaper for as long as possible to air the area.2. Change your child regularly.3. Wash it under running water every time it gets dirty and dry the area thoroughly.5. Visit your doctor because if the area is infected with fungi then you need to apply special antifungal ointments.6. If the problem is severe, your doctor may prescribe you some cortisone cream. DO NOT use it uncontrollably. Put it in according to the doctor’s instructions. Abuse of this cream can cause problems for your child.
