Molluscum contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum is a common viral disease that affects the skin. It affects people of all ages, but mainly affects children from one to 10 years old, sexually active adults and those with weak immune systems. Molluscum contagiosum is usually transmitted through skin contact but also with commonly used items such as clothes, towels, sheets, etc. It can also be transmitted by dirty water and the sand on which we lie in the summer.
The only manifestation of molluscum contagiosum is the characteristic pimples it causes on the skin.
In individuals in whom the infectious terminus persists or spreads, it is necessary to treat the lesion with a special terminal forceps either by cryotherapy of the lesions or by Laser.
