What is a fractional laser and how does it work?
Fractional CO2 laser is a type of treatment to reduce the appearance of acne scars and other skin disorders. It is a non-invasive procedure that uses a laser, specially made of carbon dioxide, to remove the outer layers of damaged skin. The CO2 laser emits a beam of low pulse light, which scans the surface of the skin in a specific pattern to remove the thin, outer layers of damaged skin.
Once the dead skin cells are removed, the process activates the production of multiple microthermal zones that reach deep into the skin. Through this, the natural healing process of the skin is stimulated and the production of collagen is enhanced. In this way the damaged cells are replaced creating new and healthy skin.
