Hyperhidrosis

By hyperhidrosis we mean the excessive production of sweat by the body’s sweat glands. In general it can be generalized and affects the whole body but in most cases it is focal and is located mainly:
* in the armpits,
* the palms and
* the soles
The drug that is currently the treatment of choice for the treatment of primary hyperhidrosis is BOTOX.
BOTOX is known to be an injectable drug. In the case of primary hyperhidrosis we use a very thin, specialized needle for this procedure with which we make very small injections at a distance of about half a centimeter from each other in each application area. In this way we create a “grid” of action of the drug with which we deactivate the majority of sweat glands in the area of interest.
