Mesotherapy is a a widely used technique of rejuvenation and regeneration of the skin through superficial infusion of substances and vitamins. Mesotherapy is distinguished in 2 major categories : heterologous (infusion of substances made in labs e.g. hyaluronic acid, vitamins etc.) and autologous which derives from ingredients of the blood or other tissue of the [...]
In autologous mesotherapy or PRP, material is used from the patient’s own blood (after proper treatment ). It is considered the most biocompatible treatment, given that instead of external elements it exploits autologous plasma ingredients and growth factors of the platelets, which stimulate the natural regeneration mechanisms while deriving from the patient’s own blood.
Basically a simple blood draw is done and then this small amount of blood is centrifuged and is separated in red and white blood cells, plasma and platelets. The plasma platelets, which through an activation procedure change form and liberate a vast number of growth factors, restore in the skin its regeneration and firmness.
PRP mesotherapy can be used with amazing results in cases such as: Photoaging Skin laxity Dumb and toneless skin Skin dehydration deep wrinkles alopecia or scalp hair thinning marks and acne scarring cellulitis
PRP promotes the production of collagen and elastin and increases cell metabolism resulting in: Prevention and treatment of wrinkles deep rehydration bright and elastic skin significant reduction of hyerpigmentation Improvement of the image of orange peel skin and cellulitis prevention
Its results last longer than any other traditional mesotherapy thanks to its autologous action which stays active up to 6 months after the last session. The skin’s response may continue for a year after completion of the treatments.
The repeatability of this particular mesotherapy depends on the person’s needs, the doctor and his method. Due to the origin of the material age plays no role for the start of the treatment as it can be done to younger people in preventive way while in older persons provides a good opportunity for skin rejuvenation.
