Molluscum Contagiosum is a common viral infection that affects the skin. It can occur at any age but it mainly affects children from 1 to 10 years old , sexually active adults and people with weak immune system.

There are 4 types of the virus MCV-1, MCV-2, MCV-3 and MCV-4. The most common is MCV-1, while MCV-2 is detected mostly in adults and is sexually transmitted.
