Molluscum Contagiosum usually spreads by skin contact (often through sexual intercourse in adults) but also by touchimg objects of common use such as clothes, towels, sheets etc.

It can also be transmitted through contaminated water or from sand on the beach. It appears on kids who exercise in swimming pools and gyms but also on kids who suffer from dry skin.

It can also spread on other areas of the same person by touching – scraping, a procedure which is called self inoculation.

t can start with one bump and through self inoculation become many, usually up to 20, or more.
