Are Pimples On The Face Acne?

Pimples on the face are a clinical symptom of acne. They do not always have the same form, sometimes accompanied by inflammation, sometimes not. Some are red, some contain pus, some have white or black spots in the center. Acne pimples can appear on any part of the body, but more often on the face.

When Do Acne Pimples Appear?

Pimples on the face occur when the pores of the skin are blocked by excess sebum, dead keratinocytes and bacteria. Factors that cause increased sebum production by the sebaceous glands are varied and may include:

* Hormonal changes. Particularly common in adolescence, but also in various phases of an adult’s adult life, such as during pregnancy in women.

* Medication. Some medications can cause acne pimples as a side effect.

* Unsuitable cosmetics. They usually irritate the skin, close the pores and lead to acne.

* Heredity. Members of the same family may experience acne.

For the diagnosis of acne, the patient must necessarily visit a dermatologist for a personalized diagnosis. The doctor based on the clinical examination, laboratory tests and the review of the patient’s medical history will investigate the causes of the disease and will give the appropriate treatment.
