Botox for Hyperhidrosis

Excessive sweating is due to excessive stimulation of the sweat glands. The mechanism of action of Botox has to do with preventing the nerve impulse from reaching the sweat glands.
The procedure is done by injection. To avoid pain, we place an anesthetic cream in the area where the injections will be made. After this cream works, multiple injections are made on the surface that we want to treat at a distance of about 2 cm from each other. The whole procedure takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the area we want to treat.
The result appears after a few days, where the excessive production of sweat stops. The effect lasts for about 6 months, although in some people it may last longer.
